Endoscopic Testing / Visual Inspections Endoscopy uses optical fibres and micro cameras

Born in the medical field, it is also used in industry.

The inaccessible surfaces can be controlled with optical fibres endoscopes, rigid or flexible, which allow access even inside geometrically complex zones. This technique use small cameras which in some cases don’t reach five millimeters diameter.

The technique has several advantages: first, as a method of non-destructive control, it allows evaluation of the materials’ structural characteristics without altering their physical and geometrical state; also, it’s a system of easy interpretation and it allows a considerable saving in time and costs.
